The concerts were performed at the Grand Pavilion, Porthcawl; St David's Hall, Cardiff (on St Valentine's Day) and Follies Theatre, Folly Farm, Pembrokeshire. The concert at Follies Theatre was a sell-out (and raised in excess of £6,000 for local charities) while the other concerts were performed to 80% capacity audiences. The concert at Porthcawl marked the orchestra's first concert at the Grand Pavilion since October 2006 when CPO performed Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf with one of Britain's best-loved actors, and larger than life personalities, Brian Blessed. CPO hopes to arrange a return visit to the Grand Pavilion in 2009. Click HERE to read an article which appeared in the Western Mail on Friday 22 February 2008. Thank you Elaine!
